New Trend

Maybe you noticed on Oprah's finale show she was wearing this pink diamond tassel bracelet??

Beautiful!  Of course the one Oprah is wearing is worth thousands of dollars, but if you like the style there are other stores that have a similar look for a more reasonable price.

Meg Carter offers tassel bracelets in 5 different colors each around $115. My choice would be the white pearl as it would match anything. Decisions, decisions..love the navy too and that would match a lot in my heavily navy colored closet.

It would be a difficult choice but another awesome bracelet is from Satya. This bracelet is only $78 and is called Free and Clear. What I love about this one is that it has a small tree of life charm on it which is one of my favorite symbols. Satya also has a Beckoning bracelet which has a chain tassel if you are worried about the durability of the silk.
I really like the look of these bracelets and think it adds a nice delicate touch to the wrist. Maybe even complimenting my watch or gold bangles? Is this a trend you will be trying?

October Fun

Now that it is the middle of October the kids and I have been working on fall projects for something fun to do on the weekends. The halloween gingerbread house is relatively new to us, but we are thinking it is going to be a new tradition because it is so much fun to do. Check it out--my cake decorating skills come in handy!!

The second project we have been working on is from Martha Stewart, although we changed it up a bit. We made men out of candy, it was actually a little more work (and candy) than I had thought but all in all a cool product in the end.

Here is my table full of supplies..

Check Spelling

Here is my finished project.

Then Colin and I decided to get jiggy with it and created what we call the Dots DeLorean

Next up... pumpkins!!

In the Beginning

For my first post I thought I would capture how my day begins. It starts off hot! By the time 6 rolls around it is already in the 70's. I normally have my coffee outside in the morning after my run and that is just in time for the cool morning to turn into sweltering Arizona sun and heat.

With this kind of heat the best thing to do is head for the nearest air conditioner or go to the pool! Or better yet shopping with a gelato as a treat. :) My favorite time of day here in AZ has to be dusk, which is a great reminder why I love the west. Wide open sky and vast space. Does this remind anyone of Tara and Scarlet O'hara?
